Research on diabetes is conducted from time to time all over the world. In this context, a recent study has found that if the consumption of sweets is controlled in early life, i.e. in youth, then the chances of diabetes in life can be decreased.
Diabetes: What does the study say

A recent study conducted in the United Kingdom shows how if sugar is consumed less for the first 1000 days of life, then the risk of diabetes and hypertension can be reduced by 35 and 20 percent respectively. Scientists have drawn this conclusion on the basis of data from a 75-year-old biobank when people were given sugar on a rationed basis. Therefore, to reduce the risk of diabetes, sugar should be consumed less in early life itself.

Poor sleep can increase the chances of developing type 2 diabetes. Eat foods rich in fiber such as apples, avocados, bananas, beans, blueberries, sprouts, chia seeds, lentils, beans, nuts and oats. Fiber is a complex carbohydrate that does not let your blood sugar rise after a meal.
