Delhi-NCR Tops Indicorn List as India Internet Day 2025 Celebrates Startup Growth

Gurugram, May 3, 2025 — India Internet Day 2025, organized by TiE Delhi-NCR, concluded with strong calls for enhanced policy support, easier capital access, and founder-led innovation to drive the next phase of India’s digital growth. The event attracted over 1,200 attendees and featured more than 60 investors and 50 speakers, including leading entrepreneurs and government officials.

A major highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Indicorn List 2025—a Titan Capital initiative recognizing 202 Indian startups that have each surpassed ₹100 crore in annual revenue. Collectively, these companies recorded over ₹1.5 lakh crore in revenue and ₹7,393 crore in profits in FY24, while generating more than 1.46 lakh jobs. Delhi-NCR led with 51 Indicorns.

Sessions at iDay 2025 explored the rapid growth of India’s digital economy, expected to contribute 20% of the national GDP by 2029. Key discussions included advances in AI, fintech, e-commerce, spacetech, and the role of rural internet adoption in fueling growth. Government leaders, including Dr. Abhijit Phukon from the Department of Financial Services, emphasized the need for adaptive regulation to support innovation.

Industry voices such as Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Snapdeal’s Kunal Bahl reflected on India’s evolving funding landscape and the shift toward profit-first, scalable startups. Havas Media Network India partnered as Silver Sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to supporting digital and entrepreneurial progress.
