New Delhi, June 20, 2025 — Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has launched a bold new avatar of its iconic mid-size sedan — the New City Sport. Aimed squarely at young, style-conscious buyers who seek individuality and energy in their drive, the City Sport brings a refreshed, aggressive design, all-black interiors with sporty red accents, and a performance package that promises both thrill and comfort.
Positioned as a limited-edition offering under the existing City lineup, the City Sport is Honda’s newest answer to the growing demand for premium sedans with a sporty edge. With the tagline “Life is a Sport,” the new model is designed to reflect the aspirations of spirited drivers who live with confidence and crave a distinctive road presence.
Sporty Styling with Bold Design Cues
The New City Sport stands out with a number of visual upgrades that emphasize its dynamic character. It sports a black grille, a trunk lip spoiler, and a glossy black shark fin antenna, giving it an assertive presence. Exclusive touches like the Sport emblem, black ORVMs, and multi-spoke sporty grey alloy wheels round off its aggressive exterior appeal.
Available in three vibrant colours — Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic — the City Sport ensures you turn heads wherever you go.
Premium All-Black Interior with Red Highlights
Inside, the City Sport is equally striking. The cabin features premium black leather seats, contrasting red stitching, and soft-touch black door inserts, adding a layer of sophistication. The black roof lining and pillars, along with dark red dash garnish and glossy black AC vents, create a cohesive, high-performance vibe.
Adding to the immersive experience is a 7-colour rhythmic ambient lighting system, meticulously integrated to match the car’s bold aesthetics.
Engineered for an Engaging Drive
Under the hood, the City Sport is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine (E20 fuel compliant), delivering 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox and paddle shifters for seamless, spirited driving. Despite its performance orientation, the car maintains a fuel efficiency of 18.4 km/l, making it both fun and practical.
Safety has not been compromised. The City Sport comes equipped with Honda SENSING, the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), offering intuitive safety features to ensure a secure driving experience.
