HUDCO Celebrates 55 Years of Service, Reaffirms Commitment to Nation-Building

New Delhi, April 25, 2025 — The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO), a premier Navrtana Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Government of India, marked its 55th Foundation Day today with a ceremony reflecting both reflection and resolve. The event began on a sombre note with a tribute to the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, underscoring the organization’s solidarity with the nation.

Speaking at the commemorative event, Shri Solomon Arokiaraj, Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, lauded HUDCO’s sustained efforts in transforming India’s housing and infrastructure landscape. As the chief guest, he highlighted HUDCO’s pivotal role in empowering more than 20 million people, particularly families from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Lower Income Groups (LIG), to achieve home ownership.

HUDCO’s work has brought that dignity to millions,” said Shri Arokiaraj. He also emphasized HUDCO’s growing relevance in the government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, encouraging the institution to act as a bridge for both public and private investments in infrastructure development.

HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director, Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, reaffirmed the corporation’s unwavering commitment to inclusive and sustainable development. Looking to the future, he noted that HUDCO is preparing to harness the potential of artificial intelligence and enhanced governance frameworks to elevate its business operations.

The Foundation Day celebration also saw the release of a new corporate film and a set of in-house publications that reflect HUDCO’s evolution and vision. Recognizing excellence across its operational spectrum, HUDCO honoured key stakeholders for their outstanding contributions in various sectors.

Marking more than five decades of dedicated service, HUDCO continues to position itself as a vital enabler of the nation’s infrastructure aspirations, aligning closely with the government’s development agenda for a future-ready India.
