Star-Studded Team and Global-Scale Production Behind Ramayana

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is a collaboration between Prime Focus Studios and DNEG—the latter known for winning eight Academy Awards for visual effects. Yash’s own production company, Monster Mind Creations, is also backing the film. The movie is being shot in large-scale formats such as IMAX to ensure an immersive viewing experience.

Music for the film is being composed by legendary duo Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, marking their first collaboration. Action scenes, particularly the epic battle sequences, are choreographed by top Hollywood stunt directors Terry Notary (Avengers, Planet of the Apes) and Guy Norris (Mad Max: Fury Road).

Filmmakers Call It a Cultural Tribute, Not Just a Movie

Speaking about the vision behind the film, director Nitesh Tiwari said,

Ramayana is not just a story—it is the soul of our culture. Our aim is to bring this timeless tale to life with the cinematic grandeur it truly deserves. For me, it’s both a great responsibility and an honor to present this epic on the big screen.”

Producer Namit Malhotra echoed the sentiment, calling the film a “cultural movement” rather than a regular production.

“We are not merely recreating history. We are presenting our heritage to the world using the finest talent and latest technology. As Indians, this is our truth—and our gift to the world.”

Star Cast of Ramayana Features Industry Powerhouses

Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, while Yash plays the menacing Ravana. Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita, and Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman. Ravi Dubey will be seen as Lakshman, completing the ensemble cast.

With such a powerhouse lineup, world-class production, and a heartfelt cultural mission, Ramayana is set to become a landmark film in Indian cinema.
