The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday released its latest T20 International rankings following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, with several notable changes across categories. Indian players dominated the batting rankings, with two of them occupying the top spots.
Young Indian opener Abhishek Sharma retained the No.1 position among T20I batters with 875 rating points. His ranking was boosted by an impressive performance in the World Cup final, where he scored a quick half-century against New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan moved up two places to secure the No.2 spot with 871 points. Kishan enjoyed a strong tournament, scoring 317 runs and playing a key role in India’s title-winning campaign.
The T20 World Cup final was played on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where the India national cricket team defeated the New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs. With this victory, India successfully defended their title and lifted the T20 World Cup trophy for the third time.
Four Indians in Top 10 Batting Rankings
The top 10 list of T20I batters features four Indian players. Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan hold the top two spots, while Tilak Varma is ranked seventh and Suryakumar Yadav ninth. Tilak dropped one place in the rankings, while Suryakumar slipped two spots.

Among other movers, New Zealand’s Tim Seifert jumped four places to reach sixth position. England’s Jacob Bethell also made a significant leap, climbing 17 spots to reach 16th place.
Rashid Khan Tops Bowling Rankings
In the bowling rankings, Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan moved to the top spot with 753 rating points. India’s Varun Chakravarthy slipped to second place with 740 points.
Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah climbed one position to sixth after a match-winning performance in the final, where he took four wickets and was named Player of the Match.
Other bowlers in the rankings include Axar Patel at 17th and Hardik Pandya at 46th. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is ranked 50th, while England spinner Adil Rashid holds the fourth position.

Hardik Pandya Second in All-Rounder Rankings
In the all-rounder category, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza occupies the top spot, while India’s Hardik Pandya is ranked second. Both players achieved their career-best rating points this week.
Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube, however, slipped two places to 11th in the latest rankings.
